J. Moody Founder & Clinical Director | Moody Mobile Lab Services LLC J. Moody is a healthcare professional, Master Phlebotomist, entrepreneur, and clinical operations leader with more than 13 years of phlebotomy experience. He began his clinical career in 2012 with Cleveland Clinic, where he spent approximately five years providing specimen collection services across inpatient, outpatient, and outreach settings. His experience includes working with patients ranging from pediatric populations through seniors, developing expertise in venipuncture, difficult draws, specimen handling, patient care, and laboratory safety. In 2017, J. Moody founded Moody Mobile Lab Services LLC (MMLS), transforming his clinical experience into a growing mobile laboratory services company. As owner and Clinical Director, he has been directly responsible for virtually every aspect of the organization’s development and operations, including clinical services, HR, staff recruitment and training, scheduling, financial administration, accounting, compliance, quality assurance, client relations, business development, and day-to-day operations. MMLS maintains an active partnership with Core Bio Labs in Mentor, Ohio, providing mobile specimen collection services to 17 assisted living facilities throughout Northeast Ohio. MMLS also performs PRN home blood draws supporting patients referred through surrounding hospital systems, including Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals, helping extend laboratory services into patients’ homes and community settings. J. Moody is also committed to healthcare workforce development. MMLS maintains an active phlebotomy externship program, providing students with hands-on exposure to professional clinical environments. The program successfully completed two cohorts in 2025, creating practical opportunities for aspiring phlebotomists to gain experience and transition into the healthcare workforce. With a combination of extensive clinical experience, entrepreneurial leadership, and workforce-development expertise, J. Moody continues to expand MMLS while maintaining a strong focus on quality patient care, reliable specimen collection, professional development, and accessible healthcare services throughout Northeast Ohio.
